Welcome to The Ebenezer Blogs!

This space is meant to be a stone of help (an Ebenezer) and encouragement as you walk the path God has called you to. Inspired by 1 Samuel 7:12 – Samuel raised a stone and named it Ebenezer, meaning “Stone of Help,” declaring, “Thus far the Lord has helped us.” This was a testimony as Israel had returned to God in repentance, and right in the middle of turning back to God, the Philistines, went up against them. But instead of relying on their own strength, they cried out to the Lord, and He answered. As the Philistines drew near to battle, God thundered loudly, and threw them into confusion, and Israel defeated them.

The Ebenezer stone became a reminder that their victory was not by might or power, but by the help of the Spirit of the Lord. In like manner, when we say “Ebenezer,” we are not just remembering what God did, we are proclaiming that the same God who helped us before is still helping us now.

We were never meant to walk through this life and overcome battles without the One who created us, redeemed us, and transforms us. Jesus is our Ultimate and Eternal Ebenezer, our solid rock, our strong tower, and our ever-present help.

Here, we dive into the hidden treasures of God’s word, Kingdom truths and understanding our identities in Christ, that we may be enlightened, strengthened, and empowered to walk in the promises of God.

No Test Drive Needed!

  Can you remember a time when you trusted God blindly and obeyed Him immediately at a word He spoke? Maybe it was something small…or perhaps something life changing. When we seek God for direction and answers, He always delivers. But do we truly tune into Him? It’s easy to use our own logic and wisdom in making decisions. After all, God gave us free will. But even in our ‘Free Will’ to choose, we must ensure that it’s in ‘His Will’, or what I like to say, ‘Free Will in His Will’ . It’s easy to step out in faith and obey God at His Word when it seems logical, convenient and self-assuring. Compromise to Conformity – Where is Conviction?

  We live in a world where people are often afraid to speak up and stand for the truth and what they believe in, often leading to compromise, which then gives way to conformity. If you identify as a Child of God not merely by title, but by believing in Jesus Christ and knowing who you are according to the Word of God, then in moments when truth is challenged, one defining question arises, “Where is your conviction?” Why are we so afraid to stand out in the crowd and stand up for what and who we believe in? Is it really that difficult?
